EHSC Open Horse Shows and EHSC Schooling Hunter Shows:

Out with the old and in with the new, we’re replacing the old Summer Show Series shows with two new show series, the EHSC Open Horse Shows and the EHSC Schooling Hunter Shows! Don’t worry, we’re still offering all the same classes from the Summer Show Series, and then some, they’re just going to be held on different days. In 2014, the EHSC Open Shows, featuring the old Ring 1 classes, will be held on Saturday, while the EHSC Schooling Hunter Shows, featuring the old Ring 2 classes, will continue to be held on Sunday.

Additionally, we are very excited to announce, new this year, EHSC is offering jackpot classes at both shows! The EHSC Open Shows will offer three jackpot classes: Jackpot Western Pleasure, Jackpot Barrels, and Jackpot English Pleasure; while the EHSC Schooling Hunter Show will offer two jackpot classes: Hunter Pleasure Jackpot and Jumper Jackpot. The jackpot classes will offer 50% payback of the total class entry fees collected with first, second, and third places receiving 25%, 15%, and 10 %, respectively. We hope everyone will embrace these changes and will continue to support our shows!

Member Appreciation Clinic:

The members spoke and we listened, the Membership Appreciation Clinic is open to all EHSC members--and yes, it’s still free! The clinic kicks off on Sunday, May 25, with a picnic dinner and campfire while the clinics and programs will take place on Monday, May 26. Everyone is invited to Sunday’s picnic; we just ask that you bring a dish to share.

New Year End Awards for 2014:

Horses come in all shapes and sizes and we are pleased to announce that we are adding two new Year End Awards to recognize the largest and the smallest members of the equine family: the Miniature Horse Award, and the Draft Horse Award. See the Year End Awards section for more information on these awards.

EHSC Ribbon Exchange:

Do you enjoy showing but don’t need all the ribbons? If yes, then why not take advantage of the EHSC ribbon exchange program? At any EHSC show, ribbons may be exchanged at the show office for a $1.00 EHSC tuit which can be used to pay entry/stabling fees, membership dues, and banquet reservations, or at the EHSC kitchen. To take advantage of this program, ribbons must be exchanged the day of the show and must still be in new condition, clean and void of any writing.
