Dear Erie Hunt and Saddle Club Members, Lost Hounds Pony Club Members and Friends,

It’s Event time again and your help is needed to make it a success.

Monday, August 3rd and during that whole week there is plenty of weed eating and mowing to do at the club and on the cross country course.  See the list on the scoreboard at EHSC or contact Laura Tighe 434-6136 or Peg 397-8381 for tools.  Lew Trumble (434-3319) will also be at the club painting stadium jumps.  Lew will be there August 3rd from 1-4, August 4th 10-3 and August 6th   10-3.  We need lots of help for that and also for setting the stadium course on August 12th at 5:00 pm  We will also need help setting up two dressage rings on August 12th at 5:00.

On Thursday, August 13th, we will be on the grounds and needing help setting up tents, taping of the parking area and decorating the stadium and cross country jumps.  That week Peg will be on the grounds every day.  Please call her for instructions.

During the event, please volunteer where you can!  We need:

Jump Judges:  call Barb Nash 450-5728 need jump judges on Saturday, August 15th in the afternoon, and Sunday, August 16th in the morning.  No experience necessary

Show jumping: Lew Trumble 434-3319  needs ring crew Saturday afternoon and Sunday.  Also need paddock master and stadium scribe.  No experience necessary

Dressage: Karen Copus 449-6469  Needs dressage scribes, bit checkers and test runners. Only on Saturday

Kitchen:  Karen Mead 882-7065  needs kitchen help and donations of homemade desserts . . . these sell well and are a big money maker!

Having the grounds, equipment and cross country course, in A-1 shape always earns us a good report from our officials and our competitors.  Our profit helps us to sustain the programs of the Erie Hunt and Saddle Club and Lost Hounds Pony Club.  Your donation of time will ensure the success of this event.

Many Thanks,

Peg Hull  (397-8381)   &   Jean Kuhl  (490-7151)
