Reminder About EHSC

What's in a name? In The Erie Hunt and Saddle Club, there's a couple things: We are in the country, and it is called a club, but it is about as far away from "country club" as you can get. Our emphasis is on expanding knowledge of horsemanship and, in the process, learning a lot about life. We are not a "hoity toity" group in any respect. In fact, our non-profit club makes horsemanship affordable for regional families and children who would never be able to experience what we offer any other way. W'e're about kids. We're about life-long learning. We're about pitching in -- we are all volunteers -- and we are about making some very special things happen through our dedicated work together. The vast majority of our $25-a-year members and program participants have to literally watch their pennies and make a lot of sacrifices, not only in terms of finances, but also in terms of time and just plain hard labor for the animals we are, sometimes inexplicitly, drawn toward. We make our own jumps, dig our own posts, organize and run our own events, and volunteer, volunteer, volunteer-- all to primarily benefit children and families who can't help loving horses. Please share if you care. It's one pretty painless way you can help. Otherwise, we always have some stalls that need mucked out, grass that needs cut, water that needed toted ....
