Volunteering

Volunteering is a great way to enjoy the equine activities at the club. You do not need to be a member to be a part of the activities.

Volunteer Hours can be done in numerous ways at the club:
Opening Day in May
Closing Day in October
Open Horse Shows
Open Schooling Hunter Shows
Combined Tests
Dressage Shows
Hunter Show
Game Shows
Clinics

Additionally, volunteers are needed for various tasks during events and during the week before and after shows. Erie Hunt and Saddle Club welcomes all volunteers. Equestrian knowledge is not needed to volunteer.

Volunteer opportunities during events: secretary, announcer, paddock person, ring crew, rope off parking area, passing out ribbons, timers, dressage scribes, bit check, show jumping scribes, kitchen duty, set up, tear down, trash removal.

Jobs needed on grounds: From general property maintenance, such as, but not limited to mowing, weed eating, painting, stall and building maintenance, and general cleaning such as the announcer stand, club house and restrooms. EHSC provides supplies. outhouse cleaning

Year End Awards Volunteer Requirements

Each member seeking to be eligible for a Year End Award, shall document 10 hours of volunteer time to the EHSC, based on our memberships as follows:
Active Adult – 10 volunteer hours
Family – 1 Rider -10 volunteer hours
Family – 2 Riders -20 volunteer hours minimum

Member hours will be documented and credited to the person seeking Year End Awards. Please submit the volunteer form once volunteer hour requirements are met. Forms must be submitted NO LATER THAN September 30th to be considered for Year End Awards.
